Statewide Campaign Manager - Florida Campaign for Earned Sick Days

Position Location: Orlando, FL

Opportunity:

The Campaign for Earned Sick Days is seeking highly motivated candidates for the role of Statewide Campaign Manager. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for developing and running a comprehensive campaign throughout Florida during the petition collection process in 2015 and leading up to the November 2016 election. The Campaign Manager will serve as the key communicator between stakeholders, field staff and advisors.

Job Responsibilities:

Create and implement all moving parts of a statewide campaign plan, including a coordinated field plan that includes, but is not limited to: petition collection, field operations and coalition management with structured goals and deadlines;

Create and implement a comprehensive statewide budget;

Create and implement a coordinated communications plan, including earned media;

Provide regular updates and campaign reports to the advisory committee, third party advisor, stakeholders, management and staff;

Assist with fundraising;

Attend coalition meetings and assist with organizational outreach;

Ensure that all campaign goals are met on time and within budget constraints;

Work with the third party advisor to assess and revise goals based on reports;

Act as the key communicator between advisory committee, third party advisor, specified coalition leaders and consultants; and,

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Candidates must believe in core progressive values. Key qualifications for a successful Statewide Campaign Manager include:

At least 5 years working in a leadership role in political campaigns or non-profit advocacy;

Experience developing and implementing a campaign plan or organizing drive;

Experience managing a diverse staff;

Experience in targeting and voter data;

Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills;

High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force to members of a coalition;

Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives; and,

Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.

Expectations:

Potential campaign staff will be expected to work long hours, up to 7 days per week during the petition collection process and through the November 2016 election.

Salary/Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
