About the Position: 

CPD is seeking an Operations Support Lead for the CPD Sustainability Initiative – a team whose goal is building innovative dues paying membership and small donor field programs with CPD partner organizations to create a path towards revenue generation and financially independent organizing models.  We are seeking administrative and operations experts with substantial experience in working on individual giving, small donor, and other fundraising operations. These individuals will coordinate with grassroots field offices to help them track their membership and fundraising performance for community organizations building power in low-income communities of color, and to be on the forefront of piloting new technologies and techniques in grassroots organizing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who seeks to create social change, revolutionize how non-profits raise money and win campaigns, and move up in both pay and position in a fast growing operation.

Primary Responsibilities

The Operations Support Lead will:

• Work with CPD Affiliate organizations on developing comprehensive membership tracking programs, including data systems, retention systems, income reports, and budget tracking.

• Compliance Procedures: Work with CPD Affiliates to ensure their sustainability programs are in full compliance with federal and local laws, including canvassing permits and donation processing systems.

• Ensure Member Information Security: Ensure that all policies on information security are followed and that members’ information is secure at all times; and

• Human Resource systems: Work with CPD Affiliates to develop best practices in Human Resource systems, including payroll systems, management structures, and recruitment models.

• A demonstrated commitment to social justice, strong analysis of systemic oppression based on race, class, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, and an understanding of challenges facing immigrant communities, communities of color, and low-and moderate-income families;

• Excellent organizational skills and good attention to detail;

• A high level of self-motivation and a proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively;

• Ability to work well with diverse groups and populations;

• Dedication and ability to work flexible hours;

• Capacity to engage and inspire a variety of audiences

• Willingness and ability to relocate and/or travel for these positions
